I completed my 88 days of farm work on Dorrian’s farm. From the first day I arrived I felt comfortable and cared for. I never needed to worry about not getting paid on time or any of the sorts. I spent 5 months picking Avocado’s and had a great experience and that’s why I am back this year to complete my 6 months for my second year. I feel grateful to be working for Dorrian’s considering all the stories that I’ve heard from other backpackers and their experiences with other farms.

Dorrian’s farm is great farm to work for. I worked 8 months here picking avocados and it was no doubt an amazing season and an incredible experience. They are not your average farm and go over and above to make you feel comfortable. It is not a walk in the park as you do have to work hard but you are always rewarded and treated fairly. The average work week is anywhere between 35-42 hrs and they even pay more than most farms do. Over all it is a wonderful place to work and I am grateful for all the memories I have made.

If you want an honest days work, a great working environment and a decent payslip, Dorrian’s Farms should be your first decision. During a family emergency they went above and beyond to accommodate my partner and I and we couldn’t be more grateful. Although we are not required to be here for Visa reasons as many other workers are, we wouldn’t want to go anywhere else and even prolonged our stay in the region to allow us to continue working here. 10/10 would recommend.

Dorrians, hand on heart, is one of the best companies I have ever been employed by. Being a backpacker, it has always been a challenge to find good, honest, loyal, caring employers – and Dorrians is just that. I spent 8 months here to complete my first year visa, and have returned to complete my days for my second year. Dorrians carries a lot of great memories, and we are always praised for doing our job, which is just an added extra for how fabulous this farm treat you.
